Alice Shelly
Scientist - Environmental Statistician
Alice is a statistician and quantitative ecologist with more than 26 years of experience, specializing in the design of efficient, effective, robust sampling methods closely matched to quantitative project objectives. She plans and implements targeted statistical estimation, uncertainty analysis, and modeling methods tailored to meet the needs of each client. Her experience includes fish abundance and habitat suitability sampling design and analysis and decision support for FERC licensing projects, probabilistic effectiveness modeling of invasive species exclusion systems, and machine learning methods.
Alice obtained an M.S. in Quantitative Ecology and Resource Management from the University of Washington, with an emphasis in the statistical analysis of longitudinal trends. She also has a B.S. in Mathematics from the Allegheny College.
