Senior Scientist/Fisheries Engineering Section Manager
Audrey has over 15 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing telemetry studies throughout the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere in the United States, Europe, and Russia. She specializes in using telemetry technologies and innovative methods to answer fisheries research questions ranging from fine-scale behavior analysis to mark/recapture survival studies. She is proficient in the use of active and passive telemetry and fish tracking technologies including JSATS, VEMCO, ATS, Lotek, Lotek-Radio, DIDSON, PIT, and various mobile tracking applications and is experienced with handling and analyzing the large datasets associated with fish behavior telemetry studies. Ms. Thompson has experience with a wide range of species including juvenile to adult Pacific salmon, sturgeon, lamprey, European eel, non-game fishes and other aquatic animals. She is a strong technical writer and proficient in explaining complex technical details in an approachable way to clients, stakeholders, and the public.
Audrey obtained her M.S in Ecology/Biology from the University of Montana, and her B.A. in Biology from Colgate University.
