Hal Riddle has over 40 years of hydropower-specific experience and specializes in performing engineering analysis, design, and project management for hydroelectric and coal/gas-fired electric plant projects. His experience includes preparing bid packages, evaluating contractor proposals, administering contract documents, leading construction meetings, and inspecting completed work for progress payments. His expertise includes evaluating and designing steel, concrete, wood, and masonry systems/components and foundations, conducting assessments of existing structures, designing new structures including concrete and earth dams/dikes, procuring contract engineering services, exercising supervisory oversight of contract engineering consultants, and directing and performing forensic investigations related to failures of structural elements at hydroelectric and coal-fired production facilities.
He obtained his M.S. in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and his B.S. in Civil Engineering from The Citadel. He has his Professional Engineer License in South Carolina.
