Jillian is a Kleinschmidt Certified Project Manager, Senior Engineer, and our Director of Project Management. Jillian has been with the company since 2008 and specializes in the rehabilitation and new civil/structural design of hydroelectric projects. She is SPRAT Level I certified to support her work with penstocks and surge tanks, helped develop Kleinschmidt’s in-house two-dimensional dam stability analysis software, and as a Project Manager is involved with a wide range of structural-hydro-related projects from conceptualization to implementation that run the gauntlet from agency consultation and permitting, to engineering design, and construction services.
Jillian’s design of hydropower structures includes powerhouses, intake structures, bulkhead dams, trash racks and rakes, gates, penstocks, retaining walls, overhead crane supports, flashboards including inflatable rubber dams, and fish lifts. She has acted as a Project Manager on recent projects such as Colton Trashrack; Oswego West Trashrack; Surge Tank Expansion Joint; Penstock Replacement; Rainbow Fishway; Crest Control Feasibility Study.
Jillian has a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Maine (2008). She is a member of ASCE and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Kentucky, New York, Nebraska, and Iowa.
