Regulatory Coordinator

“As a regulatory coordinator at Kleinschmidt, I get to work with individuals of all different backgrounds: biology, fisheries, engineering, government agencies, and project owners. I like working here because there is always something to learn, whether it is understanding a new point of view or finding a new solution to a difficult situation.”


Kayla performs assistant project manager duties for FERC licensing of hydroelectric facilities and license compliance, including interfacing with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders. She additionally manages permitting efforts for hydroelectric facilities maintenance and repair projects and Low Impact Hydropower Institute Certification processes.

Kayla has a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine.
