Paul DeVries, Ph.D., P.E.
Senior Engineering and Science Advisor
Paul has more than 34 years of experience and possesses the technical expertise and perspectives of both a scientist and an engineer. He has been involved in a large number of fisheries engineering, fish habitat assessment and restoration, instream flow, geomorphology, and fish population study projects in the western United States and Alaska. His multidisciplinary capabilities span all aspects of study design, data collection and analysis, environmental impact analysis, engineering design, project management, and client/agency/public interaction. Paul is also a respected researcher and technical reviewer, and has published in peer-reviewed engineering, fisheries, and water resource journals and books. He is an American Fisheries Society Certified Fisheries Professional and is an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington.
Paul has his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and his M.S.E. in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He has a B.S. in Fisheries and a B.S. in Environmental Resources Engineering from Humboldt State University.
