Peter Christensen, P.E.
Civil Engineer/Fish Biologist
Peter is a senior civil engineer and fish biologist with 32 years of experience providing fisheries science and design engineering consulting services to the hydroelectric industry and resource agencies. His experiences have included the design of fish passage and protection facilities, and dam modifications throughout North America, involving hydraulic, structural, and civil design from conceptual development through final design. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering and a member of the AFS-BES / ASCE-EWRI Joint Committee on Fisheries Engineering and Science. Peter also served as a U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Hydro Turbine Program Technical Committee Member.
Peter has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He also has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Maine.
