“It’s so satisfying to be able to continuously learn and apply my knowledge to the daily challenges that arise.  I get to be a researcher, teacher, and advocate all at the same time.  I enjoy partnering with the employees who perform the work utilizing the policies that keep them safe. My goal is to create written policies or programs that do more than check a box, ultimately they must work in favor of the employees who execute the tasks.”

Sarah Schmidt works as Kleinschmidt’s Safety Manager. She spent the last 11 years working in a wide spectrum of business, from corporate food manufacturing, small metal fabrication, consulting, all the way to the college setting.  She has extensive experience in auditing and revitalizing written policies, programs, procedures, and training materials related to occupational safety.  Other areas of expertise include training development and delivery, site safety inspections, and implementation of online learning management systems.  Her goal is to be the advocate of occupational safety and health for anyone within the company.

Sarah has her B.S. in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
