Leadership

Trevor Lykens is our Chief Operations Officer and has been a member of the Kleinschmidt family for 20+ years. He is a Senior Civil Engineer and Project Manager that has experience fulfilling clients’ needs in many service areas.  Trevor’s technical capabilities include multi-disciplinary project management, completing hydrologic and hydraulic studies, dam breach analyses, turbine and penstock inspections, hydropower plant construction administration, and commissioning support.

He has managed civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical design, and quality assurance staff, and functioned as a client manager for several of our foundational clients. Trevor acted as Project Manager on recent projects including Conceptual Design and Opinion of Probable Costs; Pumped Storage Development Phase I Design; Penstock Inspection Platform Design Evaluation; Nature Like Fish Passage Assessment; Penstock Replacement; Long Term Stabilization Concept Design.

Trevor has previously served as the chair of Kleinschmidt’s safety committee, as a Team Leader for the Hydro Design group, and as a Section Manager for the Systems Engineering group.  He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Project Management Institute and has served as the Vice-Chair of our Board of Directors.
